The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council is hosting a Public Meeting on Juvenile Supervision in the District. Speakers Terri Odom, Director of Family Court Social Services Division, and Sam Abed, Director of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services will discuss current practices, challenges, and opportunities assosicated with supervising justice-involved youth in the District.
The meeting will be held both virtually and in person.
During this webinar, participants will have the chance to hear from practitioners working at the national and local levels to support the growing field of violence intervention through skill building, education, professional development, and executive coaching. The presenters will share their efforts to build capacity, support those working on the front lines, and develop the structures and staff needed to support community violence intervention efforts.
