The Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) is committed to promoting public safety through the effective rehabilitation of the youth in its care.  Through effective engagement, proper supervision and appropriate treatment, DYRS has a direct role in guiding court-involved youth toward better decision-making.  The data for the first six months of calendar year 2013 show continued public safety gains for DYRS youth. The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council hosted a Brown Bag lecture regarding evaluability assessments. The evalualbity assessment presentation (1) briefly discussed the evolution of evaluability assessments, (2) defined and discussed the benefits of evaluability assessments, (3) discussed program design and implementation issues that make some programs unevaluable, and (4) discussed the steps involved in evaluability assessments.
