NICJR Cost of Gun Violence Report

Peace for DC, a District of Columbia community impact fund, commissioned NICJR to conduct an analysis of the cost of homicides and shootings in the District.  The report examined the cost of gun violence in the District of Columbia, including costs to taxpayers.

District of Columbia CJCC Receives JRSA Award for Research and Policy Analysis

(Washington, D.C.) – The District of Columbia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) was honored to receive the Douglas Yearwood National Publication Award, presented by the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA). The award was presented to the SAC for its work on A Study of the Root Causes of Juvenile Justice System Involvement, published in November 2020. Dr, Katilyn Sill, who served as  a statistician with the CJCC, authored the study.
