Register Now for the Ninth Annual Public-Private Partnership Conference

This year's theme is “Raising the Bar: Establishing and Recognizing World Class Partnerships.”

Dear GIRC users:

The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grant Services (OPGS), in conjunction with Adams National Bank, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, the Children and Youth Investment Trust Fund, the Washington, DC Economic Partnership, and Verizon, announces its Ninth Annual Public-Private Partnership Conference. This year's theme is “Raising the Bar: Establishing and Recognizing World Class Partnerships.”

The conference will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, at The George Washington University’s Cloyd Heck Marvin Center, 800 21st Street, NW, Washington, DC.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Creating partnerships
  • Building boards
  • Financing nonprofits
  • Valuing staff
  • Designing evaluations

Finding funding from governments, foundations, corporations, and more
There will be opportunities to network with representatives from local governments, as well as the federal government, local foundations, and nonprofit and faith-based organizations. In addition, an extensive exhibit hall will have information on the latest technology and capacity building opportunities for conferees.

The cost for the conference is only $55, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The deadline for registration is April 25, 2008; late registration is $65. District of Columbia Government grants personnel should contact OPGS directly to register.
