On May 12, 2022, CJCC held a virtual Public Meeting: "A Discussion of the Gun Violence Reduction Strategic Plan Proposed by NICJR". David Muhammad, the principal author of the Strategic Plan presented to community members, and Director Linda Harllee-Harper of the District's Office of Gun Violence Prevention outlined current efforts underway to curb gun violence in the District. The moderator took questions from the audience, and Mayor Muriel Bowser provided remarks.
