(Washington, D.C.) – The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is proud to announce the launch of a new dashboard on the newly redesigned Justice Statistical Analysis Tool (JSAT) website. The dashboard provides Adult Sentencing information on Felony, Violent Felony, Dangerous Felony, Property Felony, and Other Felony data in the District of Columbia. Juvenile sentencing information will be published at a later date.
The dashboard can be accessed on the updated JSAT website, jsat.cjcc.dc.gov, and draws data from the DC Sentencing Commission. Currently, data is available from January 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, and will be updated periodically. Also, the dashboard is interactive, allowing users to view the data in a variety of ways, including by defined time period, and type of sentence and crime. The dashboard also offers a data dictionary for full clarification of all terms used.
The dashboard shows that over 90% of violent crime cases sentenced included a term of incarceration.
