This year’s JDAI Inter-site Conference was held in Kansas City during the first week of October. The District of Columbia was represented by a delegation of seven people. The over-riding theme of the conference was that juvenile justice systems should pass the “my child” test, meaning that every jurisdiction should strive to create a system that would make one comfortable if “my child” were to become entangled in it.
