NICJR Cost of Gun Violence Report

Peace for DC, a District of Columbia community impact fund, commissioned NICJR to conduct an analysis of the cost of homicides and shootings in the District.  The report examined the cost of gun violence in the District of Columbia, including costs to taxpayers.

Join us for a discussion of the Gun Violence Reduction Strategic Plan prepared and proposed by the National Institute for Criminal Justice Reform. David Muhammad, NICJR Director, will go over the details of the Plan. Linda Harllee-Harper, who currently serves as the Director of the District of Columbia's Office of Gun Violence Prevention will then brief attendees on the efforts currently underway to stop gun violence in the District of Columbia. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions.
