Warrants are administrative documents issued by courts, authorizing police to search or arrest suspected criminals for violations of the law.
The Warrants Workgroup (WWG) is a cross system body composed of the partner agencies which interact with arrest and search warrants. The purpose of this group is to address any policy or practice issues which impact multiple system partners or the justice system as a whole. While recent efforts have focused on reducing the number of outstanding bench and arrest warrants through collaboration, information sharing and cross system reconciliation; this group is also tasked with addressing a variety of issues highlighted in the 2014 Warrant White Paper.
