Norton Announces Rundown of Her Job Fair, Next Wednesday

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today announced the rundown of her annual Job Fair, which will be held next Wednesday, August 21, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center (800 Mount Vernon Place NW – between 7th and 9th Streets NW). The event will begin with workshops, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on federal jobs still available despite the sequester, top jobs available in the D.C. region, and resumes, and will be topped off by a dress for success fashion show. The job fair, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., is expected to feature over 80 employers with opportunities for federal, state, local and private-sector jobs, and jobs for recent graduates. The job fair is free, but open to D.C. residents only. Job-seekers must bring proof of D.C. residency (photo ID, voter registration card, pay stub, utility bill, or lease).
