The Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice Kevin Donahue along with Ward 5 Council Member Kenyan McDuffie and leaders from DC criminal justice agencies including MPD, OAG, USAO, CSOSA, PSA, USMS, PDS and DCSC, participated in a public meeting to discuss violent crime in the District. The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) convenes two public meetings each year. These gatherings seek to engage a wide audience to solicit views on issues of importance, invite the public to provide input on pressing public safety issues, increase awareness of issues and discuss those issues with the leaders who can implement change.
